The idefx prototype is being constructed and tested on the edge of the Great Basin Desert. It is high altitude, has large temperature swings, and the dry air makes it difficult to cool the envelope through convection. So idefx has to be able to fly in harsh environments and tolerate temperature changes. In this video, the envelope was not fully inflated, so you can see the envelope tensioners at work.
