Politicians Who Propel Aerospace

Yesterday, Dr. Silke Launert (State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space) and Petra Olschowski (Minister of Science, Research, and the Arts for Baden-Württemberg) visited the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering and Geodesy | University of Stuttgart.

They assessed the state of the art in aerospace technology and identify key areas for future funding.💶

Both recognized that Germany requires smarter mobility, better connectivity, and safer infrastructure—and that the solutions to these demands lie in tomorrow’s aerospace industry. 🚀

This is an industry rooted in university research, and particularly, of course, here at the University of Stuttgart. 😉

Did they know that unmanned airships are a major part of the solution? They certainly do now! We are highly optimistic about future funding programs focusing on lighter-than-air technology🎈 to solve the challenges that quadcopters and fixed-wing drones simply cannot.

A huge thank you to Universität Stuttgart - Institut für Raumfahrtsysteme (IRS) for inviting us to participate and demonstrate how collaboration between research and startups can drive the next revolution in aerospace!🌟
